Our Goal

To provide personal, quality architectural, planning, and design services to our highly-valued clients.

Vision

Aesthetic design has a profound impact on the people who experience it. We understand the many aspects of architectural expression—space, light, form, and texture, as well as the aspects of culture, history, and symbolism—and seek to incorporate them into our designs. We strive to create environments that meet our clients’ expectations and achieve aesthetic harmony.

Creativity

While creativity is often subjective, we seek to consistently provide both a functional and operational design solution while maintaining inviting aesthetics that promote the owner’s image and maintain cost effectiveness. We seek solutions that respect the owner’s image and stay sensitive to the context in which they are placed.

Quality

The quality of a facility transcends more than just an aesthetically pleasing design solution. We strive to provide not only pleasing designs, but functional and budget conscience designs. Knowing the opportunities available, solutions can be incorporated for future growth, adaptation, and flexibility.

Quality assurance as a process is not merely a single review of the documents. The interactive approach with the design team and the Owner, the detail of the schematic designs, and design development packages, as well as the high level of coordination among consultants, provide an extremely high level of project quality.

We place our client’s needs well beyond the requirements for the project. Traditionally, we have exceeded the client’s expectations while maintaining a very high level of quality in service and document production. By applying our knowledge and ingenuity, we become partners with our clients to bring to life their vision of the project.

Project Focus

We consistently provide quality services through project focus which allows us to provide services with a greater sense of responsiveness and with a total commitment from our entire staff and consultant team. The team determines the necessary resources to be employed to maintain high quality services for our clients.

The quality of our presentations, contract documents, construction administration services, and other services the firm provides traditionally exceed the expectations of our clients. This quality can only be achieved through the total focus on each of our clients’ needs and maintaining the appropriate resources necessary to serve those needs.

Scheduling and Budget Protection

We strive to provide projects that are delivered on time and under budget. Our staff and consultants continually review the schedule and evaluate the defined budgets. Our experience with competitively bid projects has typically indicated that bids fall within a 5% range of each other. We believe this is achieved through the total project focus our design team supports and continues to improve upon. Should any client or project require a total budget analysis, we can provide the necessary services through an independent cost-estimating consultant. As another partner in the overall design team, the consultant will become an integral part of the process of providing the quality services that have been expected by our clients.

What makes the RAL Studio of Architecture Different?

RAL Studio of Architecture offers our clientele the same basic array of architectural services that other firms can provide. The difference between our approach and others in the field of architecture is our efforts put forth in the beginning stages of the design process. The complex inter-relationships and functionality of the building program requirements demands a thorough analysis and discernment. The techniques that we employ regarding communication and coordination among our consultants will assure highly competitive bidding, coordination of all trades, and result in a construction phase with minimal opportunity for change orders. The greater effort put forth by the design team in the beginning, the less opportunity there will be for conflicts to develop in the field.

Here's how we do it.

Provide Information

Provide weekly information to all team members updating schedules, issues, unresolved items, and activities planned for the following week

Assign Tasks

Create and assign a list of tasks to accomplish. Continually update and revise the list as activities are accomplished.

Create a Calendar

Establish meeting dates early with the design team to keep the construction documentation portion of the project moving forward.

Hold Review Meetings

Establish interim review meetings with the owner to review the aesthetic aspects of the project, the construction documentation schedule, and coordinate the owner’s needs for the project and budget.
